As I mentioned before, Dallen's first birthday party was a HUGE success!! We had lots of family and friends to celebrate the first fun-filled year of little D's life. The owl themed party began with the "Loook Whooooo's turning one" invitations:Which one did you get?
The party decorations turned out fabulous thanks to lots of help from my mom and sisters and all of my free time over the last few weeks leading up to the party. We had centerpieces, homemade banners and balloons and pictures of Dallen galore (for the "how old is Dallen" game):

We had a little bit of yummy foods, including owl-ish cupcakes:

And a giant cupcake for the big boy to enjoy all to himself. We let him eat the cake for a long time and he loved it!!
Mommy showing Dallen how to blow out the candle:
Nothings happening, now what...
Is anyone gonna stop me?
What is this stuff?
Hmmm, let's find out what this is...
Better taste it:
And taste it...
And taste it...
Still tasting...

Love the little fingerprints in the cake :)
And finally, sharing some cake with Mommy:
He was so lucky to get lots of fun gifts!! Thanks again to everyone for your generosity, this kid will never be bored :)
He got lots of books and cars and big boy toys!!
Luckily his presents included lots of balls, his favorite!!

And as at any event in honor of our little D, he got lots of love from family and we all got to spend some quality time together...
Uncle Scotty
Auntie Kellie
Auntie Aubrey
My Sisters
Thanks to everyone who came, everyone who helped and everyone who participated. Thanks for the gifts and the showering of love. Thanks for your love and support and for making Dallen's first birthday a big success. And, thanks Dallen, for being worthy of such a wonderful birthday celebration!! You are an awesome kid and we are so blessed :)

It was SO fun!!! Except for the bees!!! But I think they eventually got the hint and didn't really bother anyone - except landing on Lyndsie's flower on her shirt - how weird is that?! Poor Lyndsie!
