PINspiration

“[I hope] for people to gather inspiration on Pinterest and then get out there and live it” Ben Silbermann, cofounder of Pinterest.

When I first signed up for Pinterest I was really worried that it was just going to become another thing to get addicted to and waste my time with. Then I started pinning and I started to get worried that I was going to have a real problem with coveting, wanting everything that I could just never have. Then I embraced the inspiring part of Pinterest, and I really think it has changed my life for the better!! Of course it is my own motivation and goals that I have been setting that are really changing my life, but I definitely credit Pinterest for the inspiration.

Ways Pinterest has inspired me thus far...

-Putting together outfits from old clothes I already have, in new combinations, like this one...

{With a much cuter accessory}

-One of my favorite boards is my "be a better mom" that has me doing crafts and projects for Dallen and getting great ideas

-I have been setting goals for house cleaning and cooking. Lucky for everyone eating at my house, I have been making some great meals from Pinterest.
{The only picture I've taken so far, Rosemary Chicken Pockets}

-It's a great place to get ideas for gifts for other people, like my sister making me this cause I pinned it:
Overall, I have been more organized, more budgeted, more motivated, more put together, MORE INSPIRED!!! Happy pinning.

Pretty Pictures

A month ago in California my sister took these gorgeous pictures of our sweet Sydney Rose in this most precious dress my Grandma made for her. I love how her Auntie captured all of her tiny little features so perfectly.

Then on Easter Sunday Aunt Amy snapped a couple of winners of my peanut.

And one of me and sweet baby Walls, my very first nephew :) I just love being an Auntie!!
Thankful that my kids Aunties have the vision...and a way better camera than me ;)

Brother & Sister

Having two kids is a totally different experience. I work from the moment I wake up until the moment I lay my head down to sleep. But seeing my two babes together makes me want to have a big family someday!! I guess we'll wait and see what the Lord has in store for us. In the meantime, I am so blessed to have this son and this daughter. The two are peas in a pod and I love them. Dallen and Sydney do everything together. One day after watching Tarzan, D went over to Syd when she was crying, held her hand and sang "Just take my hand and stop crying for the rest of your days" and absolutely melted my heart!!! I love my two babies more than words could ever say and am so glad that they have each other, a best friend to grow up with. Happy Siblings Day :)

Trip, Not Vacation

First up, our trip to California. I cannot believe this trip was already a month ago!! At the beginning of March we had the pleasure of driving out for my first niece's baby blessing. It was so special to be able to be there for the Laidlaws big day. It was really crazy to think that we were there just a year ago for their wedding and now it was to meet their sweet baby girl. Blair and Sydney are gonna grow up to be best friends, just like their Mommas :) While we were there of course we made some time for friends and the beach!!{Sydney's first beach experience}{Dallen and Grandpa in the freezing fifty degree water}{Momma and Sydney enjoying the sunshine}We were so blessed to get to spend a lot of time with family
Dallen was SOO excited to meet his sweet baby cousin, he was in baby heaven!!!
And Sydney got to finally be with her best friend!!

And up next, our trip to Las Vegas. I call these trips and NOT vacations, because I never got away from my job!! I love being a Mother because it is exhaustingly fun!! Last week Mark had a law conference in Vegas, so rather than being home alone with the kids for 6 days, we opted to join him and I am so glad we did. The kids and I had a blast playing around while Daddy sat in his (probably boring) classes. Luckily he was able to join in for some of the fun :){Sydney sitting quietly in M&M World waiting for brother}{Walking by the Luxor; stopped for a pose}{Dallen loved riding the tram to and from our hotel}{the BEST part of the trip, the Knight show at the Excalibur, it was a HIT!!!}We spent MOST of our time at the pools, wouldn't you?!?!Mark and I even got out for a couple date nights thanks to our wonderful families for babysitting.{At Caesars Palace}
{Closing ceremonies, dinner and dancing}

We always have SUCH a great time on our family trips!! Looking forward to all of our upcoming trips which I'm sure will be here before we know it :)
