Conference weekend is always filled with moments that edify, uplift and inspire. This weekend was filled with special bonding time with little D and we enjoyed every moment of it. On Sunday afternoon we took Dallen to walk around the temple grounds and to tour the visitors center. It is so moving to take our little boy there. When Dallen saw the statue of Jesus he went right up to it and put his finger into the nail prints in His hands. I was literally fighting back the tears.
And then when he saw the Christus he put his little fingers in the nail marks in His feet.
As I was watching Dallen look at the Savior I couldn't help but wonder what was going through his head. Oh, how I wish I knew what he did. I started to think about how as D grows up we are supposed to teach him about Christ and then I wished he could teach me all that he knows.
On a lighter note, we also played on the grass outside for a little while too. Dallen was in love. It made me so sad that we don't have a yard for him to run free in.
He was having a blast, we all were, until...we got bit by ants!! Poor Dallen got like 5 huge swollen bites on his arms and hands.
I tried my best to get a good picture, but he was pretty squirmy. And then we went home!! Great weekend :)

Awe, that's too bad he got some bites! Darn ants! We have them ALL OVER our house! It drives me MAD! Dallen is so cute! We wished we lived closer! Matt definitely misses him!
Can you believe that little D just left the presence of our Savior almost 1 year ago!? I'm so glad you took him to visit at the temple! I wish I could have been there to witness it! Love you guys!
Those pics of Dallen and the Christus are so so sweet. I just love that little boy!
eewww! Creepy spiders! Dad got a huge bite on his neck and it swelled up too!
