NO WAY!!

I feel like there's NO WAY I'm so lucky to have had the most perfect vacation!There is NO WAY my baby brother is now in college!?!?Mark and I got away for a dinner, alone? No way ;)Is that a carousel horsie ride, NO way, just the bus, but don't tell Dallen ;)Aubrey got a ray ban tattoo...no way!!Was triple shave ice visits too many? NO WAY!!

Are those embarassing girls on the beach? No way, that's us!!Did Mark really get LOST? No way, just saw the old TV show location.No way did we get this close to turtles. Yea, these are real :)

Dallen may have said NO WAY the entire trip but we all had so much fun! Now that we are home, I can't believe it, there is NO WAY our trip could have been that perfect, but it was!!

My Paradise

I’ve seen the sun rise in the majesty of the mountains. After long and hot days on the lake, I’ve been happy to see the sun set. I have been blessed to awe at the sunlight through the beauty of the trees. Most days I bask in the HOT Arizona sun. But for now, for me, in my paradise, the sun rises and sets over an island in the sea. ALOHA!!

Here are some pictures that never made it on the blog over the last few BUSY months. Thought they were worthy of a look:Golfing at the put-put at 18 months old.Little mister loves the water at any age.

At 19 months old Dallen got into Mommy's lipstick, and then got in trouble.
At 20 months old, Daddy said farewell to the courtroom that has been his home for the last 2 years and started a new job.Daddy also took Dallen to support our local congressman.
At 21 months, Dallen ate and loved lots of pancakes:Found new uses for his bookshelf:And started dressing himself:

With all the time that has passed, there are just a few things I want to make sure I remember about Dallen right now at 22 months:
*Dallen is so possessive of his Mommy and its so cute when Daddy hugs Mommy he gets jealous and wants in on the action, so he says “famy (family) hugs”
*His favorite thing to eat is a Lunchables Pepperoni pizza meal. I just love to hear him say “pizza, pep-roni”
*When watching some of his favorite movies, that he’s seen a million times, he repeats the last word of every line, its ADORABLE!!
*He has started to sing along to the radio and to movies. He also sings “clean-up, everybody” when we are cleaning up toys.
*He calls the alphabet "A B C B’s" and his favorite letters are “P-U” cause it makes him laugh. His other favorite letter is E, cause he can recognize it anywhere. For some reason he decided that on its side it looks like a castle and now he knows it.
*Also, for some reason recently instead of just saying oopies (oops) he says Oopie-CB’s?!?!
*Dallen has been saying a lot of words for some time now, but he continues to surprise me with the words he knows the meaning of. He uses the following words at the right times, when they apply: “float”, “both”, “heavy”, and of course this AZ summer he feels “hot”.
*He is so good at communicating with me. He tells me “I can’t reach it” so I tell him to get his stool, and he does. He says lots of creative 3 and 4 word sentences like “my get it” or "my do it".
*Of all the things he can say, he can’t quite get “to infinity and beyond”, it comes out just “fee- on”
*Lastly, Dallen has started calling me MOM and it makes me feel OLD!!

A Big Change for Little D

After a little floor to ceiling paint and bringing in his furniture, Dallen's room is almost done. My goal was to make it as similar to his old bedroom at the condo. With the exception of the new color on the walls, the lack of picture frames hanging, and the window valence that doesn't fit the new window, Dallen is back in his own little haven :) Hope he loves it!!
