Bye-Bye to MiMi

"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts." -Washington Irving

We cannot thank my mom enough for all of her hard work the past 2 weeks as she helped with welcoming Dallen into this crazy world. I was so sad to see her go today. It is true what they say about discovering a new appreciation for your own mother when you become one yourself. Thanks for everything you taught me over my lifetime to prepare me for this moment. I love you so much and miss you already.

QUICK HEALTH UPDATE:
I had my post-op appointment today at the doctor and they have yet to find any conclusive information about my condition. We are just going to continue monitoring my high blood pressure and try to control it with medication and as for the headaches, I will just have to suffer through and take lots of Motrin :) I am slowly but surely starting to feel better. Recovery is intense!

Ahhh, that was the hardest...saying bye to my mom when she left after Stone was born. I didn't think we'd be able to do it once she left. :)

I'm glad you're starting to at least feel a little better. Give Dallen a big kiss for me! Can't wait to see you all!

Thank YOU Jacki! You did all the work! He is precious and I'm so grateful that I was able to stay as long as I was! I can't wait to come again! How about next week-end? :) I love all of you! And by the way, I cried too!!!

Oh, Jacki! What beautiful words! I have heard that sentiment repeated for 4 generations now. My mom never had a mom to stay with her through her 4 babies; I had my mom there for all 6 of mine; Kim had me for 3 of hers; and now you have your wonderful mom. My tears flow, too, as I remember first my wonderful, beautiful mother and how I didn't want her to leave; and then how I hated to cut visits short with Kim and others. It is a good cry -- one that tells just how much we love!
I love you, Jacki (and you, too, Mark!) And I already love that beautiful little boy, even though I haven't seen him in person yet!
